Come and Share Our Love for all things horological
Experience fellowship, learning, sharing, and growing in the hobby. We have a monthly meeting on the second Saturday of most months. Everyone is welcome no matter what your specific interest or experience level might be.
Meetings begin at 8am with some time to socialize, then usually last until 11am or noon. There is no cost to attend a meeting. Currently we are meeting in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Community Church – 1021 Campbell Rd., Houston, Texas 77055 The church is just north of I 10, and on the west side of Campbell Rd. on the west side of Houston (Spring Branch/ Villages area.) The Fellowship Hall is the first building on the left as you enter the parking lot.
In addition to Chapter business, meetings usually include a Show and Tell, with members sharing something they think will interest the other members, and a presentation by a guest or member on some aspect of watches, clocks, horology, or a related field. Members are usually available afterward to help with any technical issues someone might be having with a clock or watch project.

Chapter 139 members volunteering at the National Headquarters!
Last month several members made a trip to National Headquarters in Pennsylvania to spend time doing volunteer work at the Museum. Rory McEvoy (Executive Director) acknowledged their participation in a recent newsletter. If you are a member, and not receiving the National newsletter, visit the site to sign up. It’s a quick and easy way to learn more about what the National Headquarters and Museum are doing, and what members are helping out with. Here is the relevant excerpt regarding our chapter…
“Six visitors from San Jacinto (Texas) Chapter 139 flew to Pennsylvania in late March and gave us some fantastic assistance in completing upgrades to the Museum galleries and School teaching spaces. This included conservation work on an E. Howard 0-size striking tower clock, set building in the galleries, and storage improvements at the School. It was an absolute pleasure to work together, share some (often terrible) jokes, and unwind together after hours.
The volunteers from Chapter 139 were Ralph Pokluda, Andy Staton, Marcus Bush, Jeff Zuspan, Gibson Bush, and Bob Kleeman.“
